What is a biome?
|
A biome is a large geographical area with specific and distinctive plants or animals which have acclimatized to the specific environment. The climate and geography of a region determines what type of biome it is. Major biomes include deserts, forests, grasslands, tundra and Polar Lands. Each biome consists of many ecosystems whose communities have adapted to the climate and environment inside the biome.
